AMFisH daily blog post – When you find yourself traveling down a tough road.

Hi fellow AMFisHers!   This AMFisH daily blog post is about something we all experience at some point in our lives, maybe even a few times in our lives.  The tough road, yes those dreaded three words of all of a sudden finding yourself in a situation that is about to challenge you more than you have ever been challenged before.

This tough road could be anything from losing your job, going through serious health issues, breaking up from a long term relationship, this list goes on and on with far too many items on it.   One question here is how do you deal with it?  Another question might be what now?  How did I end up here?   Asking yourself various questions while on this tough road is all part of dealing with the situation you have been dealt, totally normal.

The unfortunate part is we are caught up in seeing things are the way they are and almost never looking at them as they could be one day, that is a key part because it’s almost like you have prepared yourself emotionally for maybe being in a situation you never thought you would be in.   The tough road is terrifying for anyone, again it is the unexpected situation that usually catches us by surprise and leaves us shocked.

So how do you deal with the tough road?  First thing is rely on that support system you have built most of your life, friends, family, ex-managers that mentored you, whoever you have on your list as it is different for all of us.  Be upfront about the tough road you are on and talk about it, this will give you the opportunity to get it all out from within.

From here you have two choices let the tough road get the better of you which in my opinion is not something anyone should let happen, life is too short to keep yourself at rock bottom!   Second option is to review things with your inner self and look at this tough road as a time to grow through this next phase in your life.

Tough road suck that’s for sure but they promote personal growth which is critical to growing as a human being.   The tough road can also bring you to a place that you have always wanted to get to but have never been able to figure out.  This could be a break away from work or a career change you can now try, this list is as endless as you want it to be.  There are various tough road scenarios that we can find ourselves in, it all leads us back to one place which is do you let that tough road beat you or do you make the first left onto a more life defining road that can lead you to endless possibilities…trust me number two is the better option.

Hope you enjoyed this post!

Make time for the important stuff in life…

Just sending out a note to pretty much everyone out there, make time to enjoy the important things in life at times we either forget or get caught up in the non important things, WHY because life is like that far too many other distractions that for the most part should not be too high on the list.

I spent this past weekend with a close friend who is more like a brother as I have know him since kindergarten and saved him from drowning while night fishing in our younger years.  It was his nieces birthday party and have known her since she was a toddler, well it was an “AMAZING” weekend chilling with all of them ! ! ! !

There are so many times in life where I feel like the richest man in the world, I have more funny stories and memories then I ever though possible as well as some very wonderful people in my life.

So make time for these riches of life, this is far beyond money and material things this is what really counts in the end, being around the people you love and have fun times with.

Again just a reminder is all, fell into the life trap myself many years ago and I will always make time for what I believe in…
